Life is so busy with work, hobbies, grandchildren that sometimes it is very difficult to step back and find time to record daily happenings
Last week is a prime example, Tuesday I spent 6 hours travelling and making the banner (approx 16 meters x 5 meters) for Brisbane Lions AFL team to run through when entering the field for Thrusday nights game in Brisbane at the Gabba against the Sydney Swans
Then Wednesday was grandparent day entertaining our 4 year grand-daughter at our Redcliffe home and then to the park and beachfront
We also introduced her to the Redcliffe Jetty and the famous Bee Gees way. The Bee Gees resided at Redcliffe and attended school prior to becoming one of the worlds most successful bands
As school children, the boys regularly jumped off the Redcliffe jetty looking for pennies which had fallen through cracks between the jetty wooden planks
Barry Gibb recalled stories of enjoying their early lives at Redcliffe when he officially opened Bee gees way in 2013 and provided photos with captions and commentary for the “way” which have evolved into a Redcliffe must visit tourist attraction
Its extraordinary to view the original contract signed by the Bee Gees and how basic the world was back then
Thursday morning was a 6k run with 4 x 2 minute fast sections and Thursday night was a visit to Brisbane to watch our AFL team the Brisbane Lions, defeat the Sydney Swans who sit second on the premiership ladder whilst we were 7th coming into the match
Lions enjoyed one of their best executed games of the season to win by 43 points
Friday was a 5 hour drive south visiting 8 retailers for work and a sleepover at Coffs Harbour before completing a parkrun Saturday morning, at the unusually named Bongil Bongil national park
Followed by a 5 hour drive home to Redcliffe
Sunday the junior parkrun I volunteer at was cancelled which allowed me to jog an easy 8k and then preparing posts and monitoring next weeks volunteer roster as part of my communications person role for the next 4 months

Another massive week! The Lions did look great against the Swans, hitting some good form in the second half of the season. It was good to see hipwood back in action too.
