They said, āGrow mintāitās easy! It grows like a weed!ā And I believed them. I really did. But here I am, yet again, with a tea glass of half-dying mint sprigs, questioning my place in the gardening world.

To be fair, Iāve tried. More than once, and for many years now. Iāve picked up promising pots from nurseries, the kind that look all lush and hopeful in their tiny black containers. Iāve ārescuedā mint bundles from the grocery store, optimistically trimming the ends and tucking them into soil like some plant whisperer. And this time, I went all-in on the water rooting method. Simple, right? Just pop the stems in a glass of water and wait for magic to happen.
Nine days in, and there was some magicātiny roots unfurling, a sign of life. I got excited. But slowly, the top leaves started browning, one by one, like they were politely bowing out. The roots still remain but the stem is now tinged brown and flopped over. Itās like watching a slow-motion heartbreak in a tea glass.
Still, not all hope is lost. A few sprigs are holding on like tiny green warriors. They havenāt given up, and I suppose I shouldnāt either.
Iāve realized gardening, even at this micro level, is humbling. Thereās so much trial and error, so much waiting and wondering. And in a weird way, this stubborn little mint is teaching me patience. Maybe thatās the point? Not everything green grows easilyāat least not in my kitchen.

For now, Iāll change the water, offer gentle encouragement (and maybe some indirect sunlight), and keep cheering on the survivors. If even one sprig thrives, Iāll call it a win. And if not? Well, thereās always next weekendāand more mint at the grocery store.
Thanks for reading.

I have never tried to grow mint. I don't even know that it can be grown in a pot in the kitchen!
I hope that your efforts pay off!

Daily changes or actions can help us keep blood pressure at the desired level.
Losing weight, limiting salty foods & alcohol, doing 10,000 steps, doing some resistance training (e.g. weight lifting), taking care of stress, etc, are some of the actions we need to do daily! Article
I'm sorry to hear about your challenges with growing the mints, my friend. All plants are easy to grow once you understand their environmental parameters. Mints need lots of moisture and sun, and reasonably good soils, with water falling on their leaves periodically, for them to thrive. I wish you indomitable success in your mint-growing endeavor! š š š ⨠š¤
I have it but not inside bottles and is doing well
You may change the method of growing it

Your journey with mint sounds like such a rollercoaster of hope and heartbreak.
Honestly, I admire your determination, itās not easy to keep going when plants seem to have a mind of their own.
Keep at it! Maybe this batch will surprise you yet, and if not, thereās always next time.
Either way, youāre learning and growing, and thatās a win in itself.
