My banana is in the garden. I almost always save bananas from my garden. And I am very careful when storing bananas. After harvesting fresh bananas from the garden, some steps should be followed to preserve them so that the bananas last longer. Below are the steps:

Bananas can be stored for a long time if picked when they are not fully ripe. It is best to collect bananas when they are slightly green. Store in a cool place: To store bananas, keep them in a cool and dry place. But do not store in the refrigerator, it may darken the skin. Wrapping the banana stem in plastic reduces the generation of gas, thus keeping the banana fresh for longer. Bananas should be hung after harvesting from the garden to allow for air circulation and prevent rotting. If bananas are fully ripe, eat them quickly or store them in the refrigerator.

If you have extra bananas, you can keep them in the refrigerator. It can be used later in smoothies or other recipes. Bananas can be dried and preserved by making banana chips. It is better in the long run. In this way, if some rules are followed, the bananas collected from the garden can be kept well for a long time.
