Update My Hydroponic Plants

(edited)

Growing vegetables hydroponically—which was my first attempt simply because I wanted to—was certainly not easy. Especially in an environment with pests like rats in my backyard, my first attempt was even more challenging. I wanted to see if the first attempt was successful, maybe I'd continue. And this is an update on my hydroponic plants a month after transplanting.

Call me impatient, because ever since I moved the bok choy, kale, and lettuce to the water tray, I started to wonder if I was doing the right thing. What should I do besides sunbathing? To be honest, I didn't know how to balance the water and vitamins in the water tray. What if these plants got too much sun? I started to lose heart because my plants didn't seem to be thriving.

I wanted to give up, but I just left them in the sun until one morning I noticed the bok choy leaves were bigger than before. That made me happy. So I could grow this bok choy!?

In the midst of my despair, I saw the bok choy growing, and I became even more convinced that I was simply impatient. These bok choy gave me hope that what I was doing—without this knowledge—wasn't wrong. I just needed to let them get some sunlight, even if some of the leaves would burn, but the others were still growing. I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

There is a reason why in one tray you see 3 types of plants, it is because some of the seeds do not develop so that when they are transplanted, the tray is not full. So I just mixed it up.

As I mentioned, starting a hydroponic system in an environment with cats and mice isn't easy. When I was careless and left my plants to dry in a low place, the cats and mice completely cut down my tall kale plants. But this is a challenge for me. Next, I'll build a high shelf so the animals can't reach it.

Hasta La Vista...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
