Our homestead is not big, but it's part of our daily routine.
Also, it's always a joy to see how our efforts slowly turn into something we can harvest and enjoy.
Like our little garden... A few plants are currently thriving.

The squash and eggplants are promising a harvest in the future.
We also recently planted a new batch of pechay.

Aside from those plants are our animals.
We have chickens and ducks, which gives us a supply of fresh food.

The chickens, in particular, have been generous lately, as three of them lay eggs consistently every day.
One that keeps them healthy is by preparing their food.
My hubby usually takes charge of this task.
He just gathers the leftover vegetable scraps that would otherwise go to waste, slices them into bite-sized pieces so the chickens can easily eat them.

After that, he adds their regular feed. Eight scoops of it, then mix them with the chopped scraps.

Then, it's ready to be brought to the coop where the three hardworking hens wait for their meal.

Those scraps from our kitchen become useful.
In return, the chickens give us fresh eggs almost every day. 🥳

Homesteading may look simple from the outside, but it is filled with tasks and routines.
However, it is one of the most fulfilling journeys we can experience...
Until our next homestead days...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
