Yesterday morning after the Tour de France stage finished I was in the greenhouse. The tomatoes had gone feral and required a hack and slash technique to tame them. I cut them back to the main stems and tossed the rest of the suckers which I had hacked off. I still need to tie them all up but that will be today's task. I also have to cage the pepper plants.

Then it was again harvesting peas and I got another shirt full. The heat REALLY makes them grow fast.

Next was the tobacco leaves from the greenhouse plants which LOVE growing in there. The plants produce seeds at a far greater rate than poppies and the seeds are the same size... They are all volunteers and I got a healthy pile of them that I laid out and hung to dry in the garden shed.

We left a little later than we wanted but headed north to see my best friend Art, the miracle man who not only survived a 70 foot fall which he landed on a boulder that save his life but is up and walking 1 to 2 miles a day at only 3 months out from the accident. This was the first time the boys and @stryeyz had seen him since.

After a couple hours hanging out we headed back south and stopped in Chewelah to go to the Summer Fest. We stopped at the 49N booth to get season passes and I was the only one of us to not get mine as they needed to verify my veteran status before printing it. It will be available this week sometime. Our friend and her 2 youngest kids came down too and R and J got to play around the the creek, play area, and rest of the park. We got food, beers, and came home with caramel corn.

J lost his sandal in the creek side and spent a good 10 minutes searching for it before he finally found it. It was about 7:30 when we left to head home. I got a new lead for irrigation work while on the drive which I have scheduled for Monday once we got home.

Today I have to work in the greenhouse and garden, go on a bike ride, hopefully setup more work for the week, we are going to go haul off the trees and debris from my client's house, and try to mow more.
