Pastries With Parents, 30 Mile Bike Ride, Harvest, Spider, Plant Pulling, Dinner, Skate night - Thursday
Yesterday morning we dropped R at school then took J to school and went in for the Pastries and Parents event before school.
Mid morning I went out for a ride and was testing out the new cassette on my bike which made the climbs a little bit easier. I was able to keep cadence up better even though I go slower. It was a bit chilly to start but warmed up nicely as I rode.
Kinda roamed a bit and did not mean to go for so long but I ended up getting in 30 miles.

Early afternoon I was in the greenhouse and picked all the peppers and cucumbers from the plants. Freezes are inbound this weekend so figured might as well.
My window spider was out in her web as she had caught a bug.
The thing was still twitching encased in web.
Then I opened the side of the greenhouse and yanked out all the cucumber plants which I loaded in the wheelbarrow and dumped in the sheep pen. Pulled a bunch of the tobacco plants as well. Still have to pull the pepper plants and get the tomatoes all harvested, likely tomorrow.
The boys went to skate night at Pattison's and @stryeyz and I went to dinner at Kuni's Thai. SERIOUSLY tasty food. I had the sirloin steak soup and it was sweet and savory and had a lot of meat in it.
We headed back to the rink and had about 20 minutes to watch the skating before we headed for home.
OMG this morning's group ride was an ASS KICKER. We rode up 5 mile, down to Indian Trail, then back Rutter. My headlight mount snapped as I was dropping down the hill to Rutter so had to hold it the rest of the ride... I am crazy sore. Doesn't help I slept for shit last night. I am the slowest of the group for sure.
I have a job this morning to install a bidet and some outdoor cameras then will go do a shutdown for my oldest client. Have to get dog food on the way home.

Qué lindo el evento de Pastries and Parents con J antes de la escuela, esos momentos no vuelven. Y me reí con la araña de la ventana que ya tenía su presa envuelta y todavía pataleando en la telaraña. Short rides are hard to do anymore. It's just easier to keep going than turn around and head home.
