Rolling Through NLEX: A Pinoy Journey from Manila to Home

Hello Hive Fam, most especially my ever supportive co-Pinoy Hivers all over the world, I’m excited to share another slice of my everyday travel story. Yesterday, I boarded a P2P bus heading home from Manila, and as part of the route, we entered the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

The NLEX is one of the busiest highways in Luzon, connecting Metro Manila to Central and Northern Luzon. As the bus cruised along, I couldn’t help but notice the steady flow of vehicles; cars, buses, and trucks all making their way to different destinations. It’s a familiar sight, yet every trip feels unique when you’re watching the world pass by through the bus window.

Thank you, Hive Fam, and especially my co Pinoy Hivers, for always supporting my little travel stories. These everyday journeys may seem ordinary, but they carry the essence of our shared experiences; the hustle, the movement, and the comfort of heading home.

Until next time, let’s keep sharing our stories and snapshots of life. 📸

Hi Leigh! How long exactly is your travel time everyday?

Oh, my dear, I'm not travelling everyday. I hate it. That was the reason why I left my job in Manila and availed housing loan here in Bulacan. I got tired of the daily commute. Hahaha! It takes four hours of travel from here to Manila and another four hours from Manila going home. Tapos office hours na 11-12 hours kasama OT. Huhu! Last trip ako lagi pagkaout ko kaya napagod. Sinubukan ko naman daily commute for two consecutive years pero di na talaga kinaya.

You've worked so hard to finally afford a house, Leigh. It's no longer worth it. i experienced the same thing when we were living in Parañaque. I wasn't getting tired from the work itself, but from the travel hours, the traffic is worst, especially if there's a holiday the next day or if it's payday. Just work online instead, i think you're doing well with your rakets. Your health above anything else, and mas more time pa with Cardo boy. 💕
