Aerial Dance of The Baltic Seagulls

This week's theme (ROUND 294)
SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD. FREE THEME

Hey, @nelinoeva.
Do you live far from the sea? I know that residents of seaside towns have such an entertainment - feeding seagulls right in their flight. Of course, I live far from the sea and I couldn't have that much fun, but I've watched this game 2 times. The first time was in Abu Dhabi, and the second time was in Kaliningrad.
Why haven't I shown the gulls of the Persian Gulf yet? It's been 3 years since then.
But today I decided to show the gulls of the Baltic Sea and entertainment in the city of Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad region.

Last spring, I visited Kaliningrad with my children, and one of the stops on our journey was Svetlogorsk. As we strolled along the seaside promenade, I spotted two young women standing by the railing. Around them, seagulls swooped and circled in the air, their cries blending with the murmur of the waves.

Drawing a little closer, I watched as the girls fed the birds, tossing small pieces of bread into the air. The seagulls darted and snatched the crumbs mid‑flight, a graceful, chaotic dance against the backdrop of the sea. One girl kept throwing the bread, her laughter carried away by the breeze, while the other captured the whole scene on her smartphone, trying to freeze that fleeting, lively moment in time.

Who noticed that small flock in the background? It looked like geese. It was May. During those days, we saw many such flocks of geese and cormorants. We even visited a spot where these birds nested.

Meanwhile, the women kept playing with the seagulls, and soon a little crowd gathered around them, drawn by the cheerful scene. People smiled and laughed, enjoying the simple, spontaneous entertainment unfolding right before their eyes.

It seemed to me that some of the birds were performing a dance for the people - a routine they’d long since mastered, as if they knew the unspoken rule: to get food, you had to give something in return. And what could the birds offer? Nothing but that very dance - a graceful, airborne performance, woven from swoops and turns, right there in the sky.

Sometimes the birds would hover in one spot, just like hummingbirds, and then suddenly dart down to catch a falling piece of bread. Who hasn’t seen seagulls in action? That spectacle is truly worth watching. I’ve been “attacked” by seagulls many times myself - during walks along the beach or even while fishing.

Eyes, I want to see his eyes...

Well, apparently, next time I will show the aerial dance of Arabian seagulls.

Excellent areal shots. They're very crisp and show the details of the birds very nicely.

Oh yes, I live close to the sea, but seagulls move further inland and seems to me some accomodate themselves so well, so they probably don't go fishing in the sea.
However watching them dancing in the sky is quite an entertainment.

This is such a beautiful and lively scene!
Your description of the seagulls performing an 'aerial dance' for the bread is so poetic.
