I'm going to keep today's post as short as possible. This is a little mixture of a restaurant review and what happened later at night in the resort, it's nothing overly spicy (as you know me and ma boy share a bed and wife and the girl share a bed). Besides, these kids are big enough t understand how things "going in" and "coming out" 🤣.

​我今天打算長話短說。這篇文算是一點點餐廳評論，再加點當晚在度假村發生的事。沒什麼太刺激/十八禁的內容啦（你們也知道的，我和我兒子睡一張床，母老虎和女兒睡另一張床）。再說，這群小鬼年紀也夠大了，早就懂得什麼叫“進去”和“出來”的道理了 🤣。

Warong Burger Kite 花榮漢堡風箏

I need to cover a little bit of the restaurant's name here. The wording Warong in Bahasa meaning Shop/stall, typical family own small business by the roadside. Burger you know, it Kite is NOT kite 🪁 it's neither a Bahasa word, but we locals like to pronounce KITA(us) as KeeTer. Therefore, the actual meaning of the store name is "Our burger stall".

這裡我需要稍微解釋一下這家店的名字。“Warong”在馬來語裡是“店鋪”或“檔口”的意思，通常是路邊那種典型家庭式經營的小生意。“Burger”大家都知道，至於“Kite”可不是風箏 🪁，它也不是一個標準的馬來文，而是我們在地人很喜歡把“KITA”（我們）念成“KeeTer”（Kite）。所以，這家店名真正的意思是—“我們的漢堡檔”。

I found this special hut sitting right next to a small chalet operator. It looks like this belongs to the chalet owner. They don't operate during the day, but they start around evening. We ordered two sets of burger and two sets of fried noodles for the kids.

​我在上一期出去村口打卡時，經過這裡發現這個特別的小木屋就坐落在一間小型度假屋隔壁，看起來應該是度假屋老闆開的。他們白天不營業，傍晚左右才開始。我們點了兩份漢堡，還有兩份給孩子們的炒麵。

I've got myself a double patty beef burger on BBQ sauce. I am not sure if the chef did a good job in searing the burger patty so nice, or the patty was already nice, or maybe I'm just too hungry to tell if it tasted really that good or placebo. Anyway, the veges are fresh, as usual any Malay stall would have mayonnaise overflow on their burgers, and I'm not complaining the wetness of it. It felt like every bite some sauce will be squeezing out from the other end.

我給自己點了一份雙層牛肉漢堡配BBQ醬。我也搞不清楚到底是廚師手藝太好、把肉餅煎得這麼香，還是肉餅本身品質就很好，又或者只是因為我太餓了，所以分不清它是真的那麼人間美味，還是一切只是心理作用。無論如何，蔬菜很新鮮，而且就像所有馬來同胞的檔口一樣，漢堡裡的沙拉醬（Mayonnaise）多到滿出來，不過我可不是在抱怨它濕溜溜的哦，這種感覺就像你每咬一口，醬汁都會從另一端擠出來一樣，極端爆漿很爽的！

The kids are too hungry, before I manage to snap a photo, they already started whacking their fried instant noodles Indomie. Wife ordered a cheese special burger set with lemonade. Home minister didn't complain about it, which is a good sign. She's a purist. If the food isn't what she expected, she's gonna throw an "I am cooperating" face and the rest of the day the entire family is going to suffer.

孩子們實在太餓了，在我來得及拍照之前，他們就已經開始瘋狂撕咬他們的印尼炒麵（Indomie）了。母老虎點了一份特製起司漢堡套餐配檸檬水。內政部長（母老虎老婆大人）這次居然沒有抱怨，這絕對是個好兆頭。她可是個完美主義者，如果食物不符合她的預期，她就會擺出一張“老娘正在勉強配合你” 的臉，接下來的整天全家人就自求多福、準備受苦了。

We finished our meal quick very quickly due to mosquitoes attack. The shop owner is cool enough to lend us their mosquito spray, even with the spray can't stop the mosquito from pinching us inside out. Besides, we need to cover some walking distance before the sky fully turn dark. We spent sometime in the room watching movies from the TV, snaking through the goodies I got from the afternoon village exploration, spicy cup noodles, warm nestle caramel latte instant coffee...

因為蚊子大軍發動猛烈攻擊，我們風捲殘雲般快速解決了這一餐。店老闆人很好，還借了我們防蚊噴霧，但就算噴了，也阻止不了那些蚊子把我們全身上下叮個遍。此外，我們也得在天色完全變黑之前趕路走回房間。之後我們在房間裡待了一陣子，一邊看電視播的電影，一邊瘋狂消滅我下午去村子探險時買的零食：泰式香辣杯麵、溫熱的雀巢焦糖拿鐵即溶咖啡……

And before we say good night, suddenly power cut. Well well, we're in the island. According to the resort operator, it's normal to have intermittent power cuts due to switching from solar battery to direct DC. We brush up and went to bed before midnight, as we have yet another busy day and home minister already booked us a snorkeling trip.

就在我們準備說晚安之前，突然停電了。好吧，畢竟我們是在島上嘛。根據度假村員工的說法，因為電力要從太陽能電池切換到直流電，所以偶爾停電是正常現象。我們洗漱好後在半夜前就上床睡覺了，因為明天又是忙碌的一天，內政部長「母老虎」早就幫我們預訂好了浮潛行程。
