Jesienne trawy w parku

Another sentimental journey through the park gardens. This time among the beautiful grasses I've been trying so hard to transplant to my own garden this year.

Kolejna podróż sentymentalna po parkowych ogrodach. Tym razem między pięknymi trawami, które usilni w tym roku próbowałem przenieść na mój grunt.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to germinate the seeds I collected. Perhaps I collected them at the wrong time, or sowed them at the wrong time.

Niestety nie udało mi się skiełkować nasion, które pozyskałem. Być może zbierałem je w złym okresie, lub w złym czasie wysiewałem.

I don't have any experience with grasses yet, except that I managed to grow lemongrass this year—and it's doing quite well.

Nie mam jeszcze doświadczenia z trawami, poza tym, że udało mi się w tym roku wyhodować trawę cytrynową - i ma się całkiem dobrze.

An interesting plant I encountered during my autumn walks is the Japanese anemone (Anemone japonica). The photos don't show the flowers, but the beautiful white and fluffy, cotton-like seed pods of the Japanese anemone.

Ciekawą rośliną, którą spotkałem podczas jesiennych spacerów jest zawilec japoński (Anemone japonica). Zdjęcia nie obrazują kwiatów, a piękne białe i puszyste, przypominające bawełnę, nasienniki zawilca japońskiego.

The seed pods resemble fluffy balls, delicate and very pleasant to the touch. They remain on the plant for a long time and make a beautiful garden decoration when the weather turns gray, and there's no greenery or flowers.

Nasienniki przypominają puszyste kulki, delikatne i bardzo miłe w dotyku. Pozostają na roślinie bardzo długo i stanowią piękną ozdobę ogrodu, gdy zrobi się już szaro, nie ma zieleni ani kwiatów.

A beautiful grass is the Chinese miscanthus (Miscanthus sinensis), which grows quite tall and is characterized by beautiful feathery tips that turn silvery and even red in winter.

Piękną trawą jest miskant chiński (Miscanthus sinensis), który rośnie dość wysoko, a charakteryzuje się pięknymi pierzastymi zakończeniami, przybierającymi srebrzysty kolor, a w okresie zimowym nawet czerwony.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to see the red variety, as the grass is cut in late autumn.

Niestety nie miałem okazji zobaczyć czerwonej odmiany, ponieważ trawa jest koszona późną jesienią.
