I am already waiting with great anticipation for spring and summer and the upcoming gardening season this year. I am really looking forward in planting some vegetables to eat. I plan to get salad, carrots and radish. And since my brother has many other different vegetables and fruits planted he might convice me to maybe plant some mini cucumber or some of his other vegetables. Now when the weather gets a bit warmer I plan to buy some raised garden beds to plant the vegetables there since I don't want to feed the slugs with my beautiful vegetables. :-)

I know there are still a lot of usefull tools missing for the garden season but I will gradually increase the different tools that I need and buy them when I need them. I hope it will be a nice and usefull hobby of mine but I still need the patience and probably a lot to learn to get the right vegetables and fruits growing. I have already started to make some compost last year and I hope some of it will be ready so I can fill the raised beds with it.
Now I am watching garden related content on youtube and also read some articles about gardening so I can get started in spring when the weather is getting warmer in a few weeks. I am sure it will be a lot of work but in the end it will be rewarding and it is some work that I really like and that can also pay off in the end since I don't need to buy that much groceries. And the best thing about it is that I know where they come from and that I havn't treated them with some chemicals.
Does anyone here plant some vegetables or fruits on their own and do you have some tips for a beginner like me?
