See Nothing But See Everything

Have been doing a lot of hunting lately and Iv seen a whole lot of deer. However some days every hunter has had.. nothing appears.

Bowhunting with a single lockout cam compound 60lb draw that I inherited from an aging hunter who wanted his old whitetail slayer to get a few more in the books.

Regardless, some days can be tough when nothing presents itself for a good shot attempt. However on those days the Lord always comes thru and blesses me with different kinds of sights to behold on his great creation.

This cool mushroom caught my eye as I was slow stalking down the slope to my vehicle. After digging in my Peterson Field Guide for Mushrooms book I believe it to be a pinwheel mushroom but would love expert input on the identification..

I believe I discovered wild paw paw trees on my hunting land! Very excited to see if this is true next season when in bloom. The young shoots and adolescent tree are shaded by a very tall canopy of old American Chestnuts and other similar trees.

Really hoping to see it in bloom and maybe even a real paw paw! Very exciting to know there’s more food source on the ole hunting dump yard.
