It's a girl!
I was checking my plants for aphids again. Suprisingly enough, they are gone. Maybe a predator visited my balcony and ate them, or the plant itself repelled them somehow, or me mechanically removing them from the leaves was enough...
...that's when I spotted the first pistil (also called stigma).
It's the part of the female flowers that shows first.
As I mentioned in previous posts, I was worried that it was a male plant, after all.
It doesn't really show in the picture...
However, I was chatting to my neighbor across balconies and they watched me taking pictures of the plant and it felt very arkward. So, right now, I don't feel like walking outside again and taking another picture. The one above is enough for now.
Just trust me: Somewhere in the picture is a pistil... I can't even see it myself, though...
I blame the camera.

Might not be huge for the readers, but to me it was a gigantic relief.
Are these plants near you, on the terrace? You will grow them much easier than those in a distant garden, and besides, you are sure that the farmer will not pick a few leaves while filling the water tank 😀
On the balcony, yes.
Joke would be on him... smoking the leaves does as much as smoking an old sock.

guy plants are not as good?
male plants aren't psychoactive at all.
to get 'high' you need female flowers, preferably unpollinated (without seed).
male plants could pollinate your females and ruin your harvest.
not only are they useless for medical/recreational use, but can also ruin your harvest.
Ohhhhh right. But you could make some high quality rope out of them :)
Very nice. The period of not knowing which sex they are can be really annoying. Putting all that effort into something you would have to just get rid of.
But glad yours turned out to be female. I like to use feminized seeds so I do not need to worry about the sex.
There's a good community here called canna-curate. It's great for posting cannabis updates.

In the past, posting into a community always resulted in fewer votes for me.
Maybe I should try again, but communities don't really help, do they?
I guess it depends on the content, but for cannabis on Hive there is a strong community so I think it's worth it.
