I had to google that.
I never came across the word lilac.
...very common around here. (We call it Flieder)
Smells even better than it looks.

the usual stuff...

I think I have finally fixed the wood chipper.
I actually found an old rusty M20 nut, sawed some of it off and it fits.

I also had to drill a hole in the thing, just so I can stick something in there, so that I can actually tighten the bolt, without turning the whole driveshaft with it.
I butchered half the piece trying to drill into it.
I could not get the drill any closer and had to drill at an angle and the thing kept spinning until I strapped it with cable ties.
Cringe.

I put it all together and fired up the engine and the clutch engaged.
Great success!
Observing this happen for the first time, I'd say: the clutch engaged from the first moment, instantly. Makes me wonder, how important it really is...

I still need a new belt and the nut is still a little too thick, so I have to take it all apart again.
Then, putting it back together properly, I need a second pair of hands, because I can't pull the engine block to tension the belt and tighten the screws for it at the same time.
What a hassle...
Since you need a second pair of hand with the machine, don't it possible for the neighbours to help or something?
Of course. It's just that the garden is remote and the person helping me will get dirty from it...
Just another hassle 😅
