Ecuador 🇪🇨 — Our Latest Chapter

Hey everyone!! I know it’s been a while… I think once you take your foot off the gas with posting for a bit, it’s super easy to completely stop. That’s definitely what happened with me and my brother. Honestly, I think once you stop, it’s hard to get the motivation to start again, no matter how many interesting things you do.

So, let me catch you guys up! We took a trip from Guatemala to Ecuador, and we’ve been here for about 2 months now. While we’ve been here, I’ve done a 4-week gymnastics course, started silks classes 5 times a week, and just recently started tennis! I also bruised my self in silks which wasn’t too painful but it looked bad.

I didn’t really want to do tennis, if I’m being honest, but my parents decided that if I didn’t, I would end up doing nothing all day since my gymnastics course ended… 😭

We also went to the Cajas (I think that’s what it’s called…) with another family and fished. It cost $1 for a fishing rod and some bait, and you could fish! You also have to pay $3 or so per pound of fish, which is honestly a really good deal because we got the experience of fishing, and they cook the fish for us!! Which was very cool! At the same place we fished, they also had deer and alpacas roaming around! The deers were super used to humans, so you could go up to them, and if you moved slowly, you could even pet them!! It was an extremely cool experience, and we will 100% do it again!

We have around 1–1.5 months left in Cuenca (the city we are living in right now) before we head to the beach to learn how to scuba dive!! I’m SOO excited about the scuba diving because I’m hoping to study marine biology in the future.

After scuba diving, we’ll be heading to the Galápagos Islands!! Which is insane!!! Like I said, I want to study marine biology, so I’m super excited to see all the amazing animals they have in the Galápagos!

Anyways, we have SO much planned for the next few months, so hopefully you guys are excited to come along with us! And now that the posts have started up again, we’re going to be trying really hard to lock back in and post more frequently!! 🫶
