Greetings, #Hiveians! I wish you a happy and FUNtastic day, as well as in pink of health.
From one person to the next, happiness is something that people seek to find, yet what defines happiness can vary. Essentially, happiness is an emotional state characterized by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfillment. It is often described as involving positive emotions and life satisfaction in many different definitions. How you define happiness is an important matter to consider as it is a broad term that means different things to different people.
- Discovering My Passions and
Interests Makes Me Happy
Arts and crafts are my hobbies that pique my interest, which help to build my prowess and shape who I am. As the authentic version of myself, preserving them is the same as keeping myself. They create routes in ink or colored glass lenses on the ground for your eyes and mine. Creating beautiful pieces of art makes me happy.
Flowers are my favorite because they are like a dancing rainbow, as if light in the walkway, and their sweet fragrance refreshes the air that we breathe. Their colors have triggered a creative outburst of happiness in me, and I love it! It adds beauty to any home, in any shape or size, is beautiful. Any kind of flowers are depicted in awe-inspiring drawings, paintings, and fresh blossom designs.
A friend from the University where I attended my baccalaureate degree offered to replicate and sell the Fresh Floral Art I created after seeing these pieces. I admired him for helping me and told him it was a great idea, and he printed and framed it, some of the images are being reproduced as flower art prints (bags, mugs, plates, and caps), flower art cards, flower art accessories, and we're even thinking about a flower art calendar and shirts. I'm ecstatic! I am overwhelmed with happiness and my thoughts are in cloud nine. It's long been overdue.🌷🕊️

Floral Calligraphy is also one of my favorites among floral designs. Simple and inexpensive kind of art that is nonetheless captivating. Colored pencils and pens are not required. You can either use a clean coupon band or illustration board or create on it if you have a sketch pad like I do. I'm happy every time I create a floral calligraphy design. I dare say, it is a journey through the beautiful memories that my passion for calligraphy has created where my happiness leads me.
Drawing is my way of communicating or expressing a particular feeling with every stroke of my pencil. It is by itself an art that gives peace and happiness to me. It has the power to make me more expressive. Sometimes, instead of uttering words, I express myself through drawing especially when I am happy. Drawing can serve as an important form of communication for me. It is my stress reliever at the same time. A kind of therapy for me.

Gardening is my solace which became a refuge for my being. I immersed myself in nurturing the vibrant flowers and lush greenery that surrounded me, aside from dedicating more hours to my writing and editing job. The colorful blooms brought a sense of peace and joy to my day as the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze touched my skin. I feel a deep connection as I cared for them and spent countless hours tending the plants. In transforming my grief into a profound appreciation for the beauty and resilience of life, each flower seemed to reflect my emotions. The happiness that comforts me during my free time, gardening has not only become a cherished hobby but also a source of healing.
Being a single mother of two - one girl and one boy, my heart holds a special place for my children. My eldest daughter is married, and she has blessed me with a remarkable grandson.

He’s a lively 14-year-old who, at 5'8" in height, often seems older than his age. I took notice that his interest in technology and military gear is exceptional. For his birthday the other year, he asked his dad for target shooting lessons. His dad took him to a shooting range. He’s already a sharpshooter, you won't believe it! During their session, he sent me a photo that he couldn't wait to share that he proudly beat his dad. I can’t help but feel proud of him as his excitement about achieving that milestone filled me with happiness. I asked him once if he ever considered joining the military, and he told me he had no plans to do so; he just wanted to prove to himself that he could master what the adults do. He’s so mature, thoughtful, and intelligent at 14. He takes matters into his own hands and studies ahead and if his teachers aren't stimulating enough, he gets bored! Aside from target shooting, he loves soccer. Since my youngest son passed away, my grandson has become a source of happiness for me.

It was gut-wrenching when I lost my youngest son a year and a half ago. It’s extremely painful when losing a child and it's often said that a parent’s grief became greater, and I have lived that truth. Despite his disabilities and 24 bedridden years, he filled my life with happiness, my youngest was my light. My mom and I protected and cared for him, making sure no one could hurt him. We were worried about seeing sad stories on the news. His sharp mind was clear, even though he could not speak, walk, or sit up by himself. When he needed to go to the restroom, we used sign language to communicate. I still remember how proud he was when he learned to use gestures to let me know.

I’d wake up early every morning to prepare meals for the three of us. My son would wait patiently for me to carry him to the dining room and feed him with his favorite dishes. He enjoys bath time. It was a pure joy for him when he was all fresh and clean. I would carry him gently to dress him up and see his eyes light up, and he would giggle. I’d capture those heartwarming moments on camera while playing or singing a song. He showered me with kisses when showing those photographs to him. He loved it when I took a snap of him. I often wish I could turn back time to relive those precious moments. He was truly the source of my happiness despite his disabilities.

I continue to feel a deep pang in my spirit, yet life must move forward without him. I miss him immensely, but I find solace in knowing that he is at peace with our Creator, free from pain and this thought gives me comfort and a sense of happiness amidst the sorrow.

It's good that you already moving on thinking for your grandson and daughter. I noticed you are now happier than before.
It's time for me to move forward, Sis @olivia08. I still cry a river with his demise, but dwelling on the past won’t help me. I’ll always carry my son in my heart and spirit, but the grief has turned into joy as my grandson gives me more happiness each day. CJ's memories are my treasure, guiding me as I take each step forward and I know he understands.
That's true and must . We just remember even me I'm crying remembering my grandfather's death when I was 15 years old but it's all the memories.
I do love your flower calligraphy Sis @diosarich Hey, your grandson is handsome.

It's my first time hearing about floral calligraphy and it's my dream to have flowers in my garden. ☺️ I understand the pain of losing a loved one and we have to carry it for the rest of our lives but I'm glad you're finding ways to stay happy again. God bless po. 🤗
I have loved this kind of art since grade school. Every time we have an art subject, flowers are my favorite medium, and I make flower calligraphy out of it, aside from other forms of art.
Thank you dear. One of the hardest part of being a mom is losing a child and it pains me a lot and yes, I know I will always carry this hurt for the rest of my life. The beautiful memories of my son will linger forever and beyond my only recollection of him. God bless you too.🌷🕊️
Oh that's nice! Your classmates back in school probably remember you for your creativity and unique art. 💕
Hugs to you po. 🩷 I believe our departed loved ones are somewhere watching over us and sometimes they try to communicate with us. I hope this somehow relieve the hurt and longingness in your heart. Try to observe and ask for signs. My mama communicates through numbers. I feel that she's just there although I can't see her now. There's also one time I prayed and asked her to show me what she eats. The next day I dreamed of her and in that dream she brought me boxes of foods.
