Rethymno is such a gem! We got caught in that wind last year too, ended up buying cheap scarves from a shop near the harbor and they became our favorite souvenirs. The evening light there is absolutely unreal. We're actually thinking of going back next spring and I was looking at flight options yesterday. My brother sent me frontier airlines reviews since they're adding more European routes. Have you found any good direct flights from your home airport?
