So you grew up near New Paltz? I lived in the Nyack area for twenty years. And I have one of the Hudson river school paintings somewhere.

My grandfather's farm was spread out across a few communities. His home base was Plattekill, but also had property in Marlborough and Middlehope. He bought the house we lived in, which was just south of the Ulster County line. So, yes, we did live near New Paltz. Although, when I was a child I thought New Paltz was far away. We were more likely to visit Kingston or Poughkeepsie, which I guess weren't much closer.
